Helen + Gavin – engaged

On a super sunny Sunday in March I managed to catch up with Helen and Gavin at Foxton Locks in Leicestershire before they headed back home to Leeds. They were down visiting Helen’s family and took a couple of hours out of their day to mooch around with me!  We hadn’t thought too much about the date when we set it and this popular Leicestershire outing was buzzing with lots of families spending Mothers Day together! We snuck around the place trying to find the quiet unspoilt spots away from the crowds and actually found parts of the Locks that I didn’t know existed; including a brilliant find of a rusty old canal boat. Sitting the two of them in a shard of sunlight made this old boat look mighty fine. Helen I had met before when she was bridesmaid for her friend Holly’s wedding a couple of years ago, it was good to see her again, this time with her husband to be Gavin. We chatted about how they’d met, their proposal in Seville and it was great to hear all the exciting plans for their wedding in May at the stunning Gray’s Court in York.

I so can’t wait for our wedding season to kick off. I am feeling truly blessed by the couples I have met and photographed in the lead up to their weddings. Yet again a gorgeous relaxed pair who were a joy to spend part of my day with. We are so looking forward to your big day in York . . . not long now . . . 33 days and counting! x
