Finca La Llum, Spain Destination Wedding | Daniel & Kyle

Any wedding that starts with an 8 am Zumba class outside a beautiful Spanish villa is right up our street and surely promises to be one of the best days ever. Our last wedding of 2019 and our first-ever destination wedding took us to Spain. Daniel and Kyle had booked their winter sun holiday for Benidorm before any plans for weddings were even mentioned. When Kyle asked Daniel to marry him, they thought it was a no brainer to invite family and friends over to Alicante to tie the knot there. They hired the stunning Finca La Llum, a villa set inland amongst a beautiful landscape of olive trees just outside the village of Biar.

Guests arrived from the coast by bus and were greeted with fizz. The boys were getting ready inside the villa in separate rooms on opposite sides of a wrap around internal balcony. Stepping into their pastel coloured stylish suit, they both looked excited and understandably a little nervous for the day ahead. Guests were seated in the main part of the villa and you could feel an increase in anticipation in the room as their mums climbed the central staircase to meet and walk their sons to the top of the stairs and the awaiting congregation. An emotional and very special ceremony followed with them both reading a beautifully worded set of promises; a perfect mix of funny and sweet. They headed back up the aisle as husband and husband to Paradise by George Ezra.

Everybody mingled on the veranda and around the pool area and olive groves. White confetti, a few group pictures and quite a few selfies were enjoyed.

Narrow cobbled streets, pastel coloured houses and battered wooden shutters were literally a short drive away and we just couldn’t resist taking the boys into the village of Biar to get some “Spanish feel” portraits. A stunning location for two beautiful souls. Back to the villa for a sit down barbecue dinner, speeches, a beautifully choreographed (You’d expect no less) first dance by the pool and one hell of a party! We didn’t get it wrong with the thoughts of “the best day ever” it finished with gin shots, some raucous dancing and an extremely happy couple who’d had their most perfect day.

You both were so brilliant to photograph, an amazing energy. Thank you once again for inviting us to be part of it all and join in with your awesome celebrations and amazing guests. The best bit of it all is we get to witness you do it all over again in January at Hothorpe Hall. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness fun and lots of love. xxxx
