Wow, where do we start with this one? The hottest day of the year so far provided a scorcher for Sam + Marco the now new Mr & Mrs Fiori. We look forward to all our couple’s special day but with bride Sam marrying her man called Marco . . . there was an instant connection. Groom Marco’s Italian heritage was very similar to hubby Marco’s background and he particularly enjoyed the chance to talk a bit of Italiano!
It was an absolutely stunning day with the sun beating down on the cobblestones of Exton Church and Barnsdale Lodge as the guests made their entrance, ready for a fun filled day. Sam looked an absolute dream in a Maggie Sottero lace dress with a mighty fine train. Her bridesmaid looking gorgeous in a dusty pink Coast elegant dress and the flower girls perfectly beautiful in lace dresses to match holding on to their flower wands. Magical. The Bridal party finished off their outfits with natural and stunning flowers created by the talented Sophie’s Flowers.
We absolutely loved how Sam and Marco added such personality into their day and filling the environment with unique detail; the service itself was made even more personal with a friend accompanying the service by playing the piano beautifully. The Vicar also identified very early that the theme running through the day would be Sam and Marco’s biggest love . . . their bunny rabbit Basil! After a short journey back to Barnsdale Lodge everyone gathered to celebrate with drinks in the courtyard to quench their thirst before heading out to the sun-drenched lawns for a few group photographs. The details in the marquee, created mostly by Sam, made much reference to all things bunny rabbit and the day continued on with dinner. This was followed by brilliant speeches leading on to some enthusiastic dancing; crikey these guys know how to throw a party! The day just got even more perfect with the two of them joining us to hunt down a sunset, we found it . . . Result!
The two of you never stopped smiling all day, everybody was happy and I’ve got to say driving back home with the windows down, wind blowing in my hair, my cheek bones were already starting to feel the ache from all the smiling I had done. It was an absolute joy to be part of it all. Thanks a million for having us as your wedding photographers and for you and your family welcoming us with wide-open arms.
We wish you an amazing future together along with Basil . . . and remember “viva le spose!” xx
