Katie and Chris’s wedding at Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire was elegant and stylish from start to finish. Katie wore a classic yet stunning Sassi Holford fishtail wedding dress and Chris looked very sharp in his navy three-piece suit. We really felt all the love, emotion and work that went into making the day a huge success, with their friends and family heavily involved in creating a truly special and personal wedding. This was our first time shooting at the beautifully lit, carefully thought out new Orangery at Rushton Hall; a perfect addition to their already wonderful space. The one thing we particularly loved was the amount of different back drops in close proximity. I arrived to find Katie walking down the corridor with her mum, hair in curlers, dressing gowns on. Fab! Katie transformed herself into a bride in the beautiful bridal suite and looked amazing . . . truly stunning; finished off perfectly with a sparkling tiara. A perfect set of bridesmaids should be congratulated for bringing so much fun to the morning and keeping Katie constantly entertained. Chris meanwhile readied himself just down the corridor with his brother and best man Kenneth, the bond they had was evidently tight. Guests arrived, everything in place and through to the ceremony room for a beautiful service. A super smiley couple, a few tears but an abundance of laughter. Having declared themselves husband and wife (whoop whoop), Katie and Chris shared a bright afternoon mingling with their guests and sneaking off for some pictures. It was our favourite kind of autumnal day, with blue skies, frost and gorgeous warm low light. Well done to Katie for braving the cold, hopefully, you’ll now feel that it was all worth it! We know how precious pictures are to them both which is why it is so important to choose your photographer carefully and put total trust in them. After a set of fabulous speeches and dinner the day slipped into the evening and party time.
