October weddings are special in so many ways. If the weather behaves itself the light can be beautiful and can really bring out the changing colours of the landscape. Cue Reena and Danny’s wedding celebration at Keythorpe Manor in the middle of October. Reena got herself ready in the cozy cottage at the venue surrounded by her family, 6 bridesmaids and hairdresser Katie Atwood and make up artist Abi Draycott. Calm but fun with everybody pampering themselves, it was clear that the emotion upped a level when Reena’s mum kissed her goodbye; there is often something quite meaningful about that moment.
Danny meanwhile readied himself at his parents home with both Dads, ushers, friends and uncle as best man. In addition to this manly mix was Molly the dog who not only appeared on Danny’s cuff links but popped in for a visit! As the couple got ready it was clear to see that a lot of thought had gone into details that meant a lot to them. Ready for the ceremony Reena looked stunning in her Dona Nicole strapless beaded dress wearing an on trend tiara. Danny and the boys looked composed in their contemporary cut blue suits and grey waistcoats.
With Danny in position awaiting his Bride, Natalie Nightingale’s superb vocals kicked in as first the Bridesmaids and then Reena and her father made a graceful entrance to walk down the aisle. Reena and Danny both fought the tears back as the emotion washed over them. Beautiful. Following the ceremony, the guests were arranged into confetti lines with rose petals duly issued and thrown, quickly followed by the release of two white doves. Mingling led to an Indian banquet to the background of Natalie’s vocal soundtrack. After eating, Danny’s speech detailed the unique way that he and Reena met (big LCFC connection here!). He also had everyone in fits of laughter as he veered very close to the edge but luckily his delivery was spot on! Danny’s best man/uncle tribute to the couple and speech finished with words that his late father (and Danny’s Grandad) said to him on his wedding day. Emotional, meaningful, priceless. Cleary family means the world to this couple.
More guests arrived for the massive spectacle of the evening, which was kicked off by the couples first dance to ‘All of me’. Sparklers, Bollywood style dancers and every food station you can think of . . . . . and . . . . did anybody mention the cake (Cake Diamonds)? Wowzers!
Who would have thought that . . . Palace away would have been the start of something amazing. Thank you Mr and Mrs Varnfield for a spectacular day. Lots of love to you both for a lifetime of happiness. xx
