Amber & Tom – Engaged

I know I often mention the weather in my blog posts and I really try not to all of the time but on this occasion it’s a must! When I met with Amber and Tom a couple of Sunday’s ago, it had to be the most miserable and dreary day I’ve ever photographed an engagement shoot on. Grey, misty, dark and wet. But you know what, I loved it. A real change from how I normally shoot. We met in a pub in Long Whatton, and sat chatting against a roaring fire about all of their plans for the day. It was hard to leave the cosiness of the warm pub but I’m pleased we did. They took me down to the working farm, which in July they will be totally transforming into their wedding venue. Roaming around the barns, between the cattle shed and the sheep, foot deep in mud, I heard all about their exciting plans and took a picture or two. The darkness made for some moody cool shots of the two of them. They held on tight to each other, with love and for body warmth.

Well done you two for battling on through the weather, most would’ve cancelled days before. A total show of strength, the type of character you need to get married on a working farm. It was great to finally meet you. See you in a few months time, I cannot wait for your brilliant day. xx
