On a crisp but slightly damp weekend in November, Holly and John got married in Royal Leamington Spa. The ceremony was held at The Holy Trinity Church and the reception just slightly out of town nestled in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. The reception venue was Wethele Manor and it was here that along with an abundance of maids, Holly got ready in a cosy wooden lodge with the rain pattering down outside. From the minute I stepped into the room, Holly did not stop smiling. After the beaming bride was attended to for hair and makeup she slipped effortlessly into a stunning ruffled Maggie Sottero dress accessorised by a delicate jewelled bolero.
Moving on to the church, a very nervous John was waiting for his bride. In one of the most upbeat and happy wedding ceremonies I’ve seen for a while, Holly and John tied the knot. The atmosphere in the church arrived out of a friend delivering the service, friends providing music and yet another friend from the US reading out a personalised speech. It was impossible not to spend the whole ceremony smiling. Such a heart felt service and lovely to see. Just as the newlyweds were signing the register one last touch, Holly’s nephew got up and sang. Tears all round.
With it still raining outside there was no hanging around the church as wedding party and guests headed straight on to Wethele. Thankfully, as we arrived the rain stopped and the rest of the day although chilly (what do you expect in November) was great. The break in the weather allowed people to really enjoy; the roaring outside fire, a flash limo, the cosy wooden lodges, canapés and one of the best bridal party entrances into the reception area I’ve ever seen!
A few speeches later; laughter, tears playful banter and then outside again to a sparkler aisle. I know that one of Holly and Johns reasons for choosing Wethele was the way the place was lit in the evening and it was easy to see why. The picture opportunities were endless, the couple so in love and the setting just perfect for a magical winter wedding.
Holly and John you make a lovely couple, who are fun to be around. No surprise that a great bunch of family and friends looked genuinely happy for you both. It was a pleasure to be part of your day. Thank you xx
