Sally & Nick – married

So let’s not mess about. If there were ever two people who were probably going to be able to cope with an absolute wash out of a wedding morning it was going to be Sally and Nick. We met Sally at Save the Date wedding fair in February and there was something about that exchange that just felt right; something about their plans that was a little bit different. So when I turned up for their engagement shoot they both arrived on their motorbikes. Getting the picture. Sally got ready for her big day in their house which was in the process of renovation. With her mum and bridesmaids surrounding her, Sally transformed herself into a corseted voluptuous beauty. Really stunning. Bare plaster walls made for perfect backdrops here. Nick and his groom team prepared themselves at an usher’s house and was he delighted with the personalised Converse sneakers, a gift from his bride to be. Groom and Bride suitably both chose camper vans as their preferred mode of transport for the day. Stylish.

So after the ceremony at Stanton Lakes with the rain at its heaviest, the wedding built into this big rock’n’roll affair set in a marquee on Sally’s Dad’s land. As the full character of the wedding took shape the rain eased off. The barn and marquee were full of really interesting objects and details, with old 33rpm albums adorning each table. We even spotted an Engelbert Humperdinck original! Some of their guests also respond to the theme in their choice of dress and styling.  The details throughout this wedding were immense, everything had been thought about. I particularly loved the adornment of hearts, the red and blue nail varnish, the Mr & Mrs converse, the emotional mother of the bride speech and the fact that you tied your house key to your bouquet. Brilliant.

You were both so wonderful to be with, the whole day was fun and fab! It was one massive party that was a joy to be part of. Anybody who ends up on the dance floor in a foxes head has to have a good day!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Dunster xx
