It’s a wonderful thing to be part of somebody’s journey; I met Sherrilee and Matt for their pre wedding shoot a few weeks back. Their wedding day arrived and this was the third time meeting the two of them and their super cute son Cullen. I knew on the first meeting that they had a great bond, they laugh and smile as a couple and a family. I was so pleased to see that on their big day in September this aspect of their relationship was in fully evident for all to see. Family is obviously a huge part of who they are. I watched on as Sherrilee, her bridesmaids and her mum all got ready in a lovely atmosphere, filled with lots of banter and laughter. Sherrilee left for church looking beautiful in her glamourous ruffled fish tail dress from Noble & Wright with Miss KG glittery gold shoes to finish it off. At the church of St Andrews Church, Aylestone, Matt was waiting with his groomsmen. He had spent the calm morning getting ready with them and their son Cullen at his parents just a short walk away.  It was lovely to see the care and attention Matt gave to Cullen’s preparation. As the tension of Sherrilee heading down the aisle grew, a totally calm and collected Matt welled up with emotion. I love to see an emotional Groom, watching on and being so close, I get teary too!

It has to be said that this was one of the nicest services we’ve been involved in for a while, so relaxed, friendly and one of the lovliest vicars ever.  The newlyweds hung around to have a few pictures leaving the church as their guests jumped onto the Confidence double decker bus and headed to the reception venue. The sun shone at Ashton Lodge and so did the Bride and Groom on their special day. We loved the hand painted black boards, the mirrored table planner, the LOVE letters, the paper lanterns by Eve Lily and the choice of band in the evening ” Mansfield Ave”. The Groom provided the unique and fantastic yet fully working Fish & Chip van. I can confirm that the van worked well as a backdrop and the fish and chips tasted amazing too.

Great chemistry and happiness set the character of your day, your guests and family were all a joy to be around and we had a fantastic time! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness ahead! xx
