Anna & Kev – married

The beautiful Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire was the setting for Anna and Kev’s big day at the beginning of September. This post wouldn’t be true to life if we didn’t mention the weather, a bright but extremely blustery day (look through the blog pictures for clues!!).

The bride and her girls got ready on site in the luxurious bridal suite; with Rochelle O’Brien and Charlotte Wesson working their wonders to create an even more beautiful bride. This preparation culminated in the  lovely Anna slipping into a stunning backless lace dress from Tiffany Jordan.

Photographers out there know . . .  some play ball the others don’t! Considering the Vicar on this occasion wouldn’t grant permission for us to respectfully and quietly take the odd shot up front, I’m pretty pleased with the shots we got. To us it’s one of the most important parts of the day and to not have any pictures of the service can feel like there’s something special missing from our coverage.

Service done . . . down the aisle and out into a gale! Beautifully considered confetti cones bursting with petals were transported out to the waiting guests. Confetti shots can be crazily unpredictable at the best of time, add a strong north westerly and anything can happen. Hilarious.

Onto drinks and canapés back in Prestwold Hall, guests mingling with husband and wife with caricaturist “Spot On George” to entertain young and old alike. Oh and that wind . . . I am not going to describe what happened when I shot Anna and her Bridesmaids . . . just see for yourself. This magical moment has never happened to me before. Priceless and Anna took it all in the right spirit. Shot. Done brilliant. Back to Bride and Groom. With Anna’s love of horses, having stables on site was perfect for them to have some time out to enjoy each others company and for me to set up a few quiet shots.

When I found out that this couple planned a Cocktail hour after dinner I knew we were going to get along well. What a great idea and something I’ve never seen done before. The day flowed nicely into the evening with Mansfield Ave providing the music the party well and truly started.

You really did make the most of your day. You laughed, giggled and smiled with whatever your day threw at you, fantastic to be around. Thank you so much for inviting us to capture your memories for you. Wishing you every bit of happiness. xx
