On a bright and beautiful summer’s day at the end of July, Laura and Mark became Mr & Mrs Watts. The excitement at Laura’s family home and Kilworth House was tangible in anticipation of the wedding ahead.  The “I Do’s” were lovely, maybe a little late in starting, but I’m sure for Mark it was worth the wait! Laura arrived looking stunning in a Justin Alexander number made up of silver embroided lace adorned with beading. Accents of blue and purple complimented the styling. A close bond between the bride and her dad was clearly evident and it was ultra-special to see them walk down the aisle to music played by Mango Acoustics. I had witnessed Laura give her Dad a personalised handkerchief in the morning that expressed how important it was to have him by her side.

Mingling, drinks, live music and canapés set the scene outside the Orangery at Kilworth House before the newlyweds set off for a drive down to the lake in their 1930’s car. Away from their guests they managed to get a bit of “them” time, with crazy faces and jokes showing the fun loving side of their relationship. Mark kept his wife Laura laughing and smiling all day long. Happy.

Because of the amazing weather, the space outside was used for the majority of the day, with croquet on the lawn, ice creams served on the patio and Mango acoustics adding to the atmosphere by playing to the guests. Even some unusual gate crashers in the form of cows watched the fun from a very close by ditch. Unfortunately by the time we did want to use them as part of the bridal party picture they were on the opposite side of the field and definitely had become camera shy! Even the attempts by a brave best man who jumped into the field to try and get them to chase him failed.

A beautiful venue, gorgeously friendly guests, amusing speeches and a wonderful bride and groom. Thank you Mr & Mrs Watts for an amazing day, it was truly fun to be part of it. I couldn’t write this blog without an extra mention to Laura, I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever seen or ever will see a bride at 9.30pm on her wedding evening doing press ups in her wedding dress, respect!
