Eleanor & Jonathan – married

Despite living and working in London, Nell and Jonathan chose Leicester to celebrate their wedding day. Nell’s family home is literally around the corner from ours and I arrived on a rainy morning, brollies at the ready for a wet day ahead. The house was a buzz of optimism both about the weather and the day. Just before Nell slipped into her graceful lace dress, Beth of Donovan Goode was busy making everybody gorgeous. Meanwhile Jonathan, his family and groomsmen were all getting ready at the ramada hotel in town. Bespoke in top hat and tails, the guys made a wet dash through the city to taxi it up to the church. A lovely Catholic wedding service was celebrated at St. Peter’s church in the west end. During which the rain ceased and the sun came out. The newlyweds were congratulated by a shower of confetti before their guests jumped on a confidence bus heading for the reception at Brooksby Hall. Nell’s styling of her wedding was put together perfectly with a cheerful palette of greens and oranges, fun petticoat dresses, the smallest flowergirl ever dressed in yellow, homegrown wheatgrass, lemons and limes, paper lanterns and a beautifully handcrafted cake made by the bride herself.
The whole day was a lovely blend of both cultures. Well done you two for creating a fabulous celebration of your marriage, you looked a very happy couple. Congratulations!! XX
