What a wonderfully chilled out and relaxed wedding and as always it’s a real privilege to be part of somebody’s nuptial journey. I met Steph and Stuart in March for a fun and light hearted engagement shoot in Stratford. I knew then that they had a great bond and it was clear to see that as a couple they smile and laugh at so many things. I was so pleased to see that on their big day in May this aspect of their relationship came shining through.

The wedding day was based in and around the beautifully manicured grounds of Moxhull Hall, with both bride and groom getting ready on site but in clearly defined and separate parts of the complex. Lovely to see the amount of attention and tension that went in to ensuring they didn’t spot each before the ceremony. At one point it felt like a cheeky game of hide and seek! Wedding days are always special but this celebration was heightened by the fact that it was Nan’s 93^rd birthday. As a very special lady in Steph’s life it was great to have her there to share this special day.

Steph emerged from her preparations wearing a strapless ivory dress with a cascade of ruffles. Can’t tell you how beautiful this looked as she stood at the window with her dad, praying for the rain to stay away. Their prayers weren’t in vain and the weather settled allowing them to make the most of one unique aspect of Moxhull Hall. I knew how much an outdoor ceremony meant to Steph and I am so pleased that her dream came true. More than just stay dry, the sun emerged to blissfully shine down on them as they became husband and wife.

Music played a massive part in their day. Steph walked down the aisle to a string quartet, which included her Auntie on violin. During the reception we had a surprise appearance from singing waiters. I have never seen so many people up on their feet dancing between courses! Stuart is a bass guitarist in a band and it was superb to see the band adding to the fantastic atmosphere of the evening party. To cap it all off, just as I was packing up for the night, the bride’s sister did a surprise and emotional rendition of  Rascal Flatts ‘I won’t let you go’. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place.

Great chemistry and oodles of happiness set the atmosphere; your guests and family were all a joy to be around. We had a fantastic time! Wishing you a lifetime of loveliness ahead Mr & Mrs Madden! xx
