What will be the cost of photographing our wedding?
Without knowing the exact details of your day, we can't give you a definite price. But as a starting point the price for both of us is £1795. No hidden costs. Discounts can sometimes be negotiated for off peak seasonal dates and midweek weddings. Contact us for more info.
What do we get for this price?
A pre wedding meeting at your venue as well as a two hour pre wedding midweek shoot on location. Our time on the day, from getting ready until you all hit the dance floor. At least 60 images from your pre wedding shoot. An online slideshow of a minimum of 500 wedding day images. These are then archived and presented to you on a usb drive, print ready with licence for you to share and print.
Do you offer photographic albums?
Yes we do but it is not included as part of the package. Let's face it weddings are expensive! The decision for us to create your album is often made after the wedding day. Your wedding photographs look amazing in print and for this reason we only use a high end album supplier - Folio Albums. We will work together on the choice of images and layout before it is printed. If this high end service isn't for you go DIY! With all your images on USB you can easily use one of the many album web services out there.
What is copyright and who holds it?
This stuff can be really complex. Basically, copyright is a statement on who owns the images. As the photographers, ''Sarah Salotti Photography' will continue to own the images. Put simply, your package includes a licence (i.e. permission) for you to use the images for all non commercial purposes. You can print the images and share them and publish them on social media. Basically, what you can't do is use an image for a commercial purpose without telling us. If a Bridal company want to buy one of your images to use on a billboard campaign we would be really chuffed but we would need a cut!
How do we book?
We require a deposit of £200 to secure your date. A signed contract and booking form is emailed to you. When you sign the contract get it back to us and your date is in our calendar. No other work or weddings will be taken on your day.
Do you do everything yourselves, or do you outsource any aspect of the process?
Everything from the first meeting up until the final delivery is done by us. We don't outsource anything as we choose to put our personal touch on what you have invested in.
Do you always shoot weddings as a couple?
We prefer to and enjoy working together but if you don't think two photographers is something you want or need for your wedding day, then it is possible to book just Sarah. This normally takes £200 off our starting package fee.
How far are you prepared to travel to photograph our wedding?
We are happy to go anywhere. We have photographed many weddings all over the UK, and are still waiting for our first destination wedding abroad. This is something we would love to do, and with Marco's family background and our love of the food and wine Italy would be perfect! If this is something you are considering get in touch with us for a bespoke quote.
Do you shoot video as well as still photography?
We don't but can definitely recommend others that do and do it well!
Do you use professional equipment?
Of course. We currently shoot with Canon cameras and lenses.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. We have public liability insurance and have full photographers business insurance.
When is our final payment due?
We ask for the final balance to be paid two weeks before your wedding day. An invoice of the payment breakdown is sent to you on booking.
How soon after our wedding would we receive albums/prints/cds, etc
You will get to see a sneak peek of around 100 images 3 weeks after your wedding. The final slideshow will be ready to view within 8 weeks of your wedding day. Delivery of the final package normally takes place within 10 weeks.
We are interested in a portrait shoot - how does that work?
Get in touch by phone, email or use the contact us button and tell us what you are after. Family, newborn or love shoots are normally carried out just by Sarah. Our preference is for environmental portraiture taken on location or at your home. A shoot normally takes no more than two hours and costs £75 (shoot only). You are then provided with a selection of images to choose from. We offer lots of choice on final products and obviously the amount you end up paying will depend on what you go for (i.e. simple 10"x8" print, images on a USB, a canvas, an image printed on contemporary aluminium, a bespoke framed 20' x 24' etc.).
